The holidays are often full of disappointments. We expect to receive certain presents. We expect to receive certain reactions when we give presents. We expect to see certain people at family gatherings. And we’re disappointed when it doesn’t happen. Disappointment is a universal experience, and that’s why Jesus came: to overcome our grief with his glory.
