WE WERE SENT ON A MISSION.
God has invited us to join his mission to redeem the world and expand his kingdom. We pursue that mission every day with friends, coworkers, neighbors, and family members. There are also initiatives we pursue together:
Homeless neighbors meeting Christ
Our Kakaako Kakou ministry provides breakfast, hot showers, canned food, clothing, and gospel conversations to our needy neighbors. Other neighbors in the surrounding high-rise buildings are joining us to bless our neighborhood, and hearing the gospel as well.
Human-trafficking victims receiving Christ’s love
Our Kukuilani ministry is delivering meals and care packages to workers in the strip clubs and illicit massage parlors surrounding our church. The gospel is being tangibly seen through the loving care of our ambassadors.
Unreached people-groups
For the last few years we have been training, supporting, and sending local church-planters in Southeast Asia. Our church trained and sent one planter back to his tribe, an unreached people group of 150,000 people. When we sent him he was the only Christian in his tribe, but he has now seen dozens of people .
We love our island home, and we love our neighborhood of Kakaako. We’re always looking for ways to bless the families, businesses, and overall welfare of our community. “Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you… and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare” (Jeremiah 29:7).
