Harbor Rapid Response Team

We want to care for our kupuna and at-risk folks in our church, so we’re recruiting people to join our new Rapid Response Team. We are looking for volunteers in the church who are considered “low-risk” to be on-call (as available) to go pick-up groceries, supplies, medications, etc. for at-risk folks who can’t get them due to contracting coronavirus.

How do I get involved?

  • Consider your current health status: no respiratory or ongoing health issues
  • You’re under the age of 55
  • You have displayed no flu-like symptoms within the past 14 days
  • You have access to either antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer, and/or gloves
  • Sign-up below.

How will this team function?

  • Our team coordinator will reach out to you regarding the location you’re able to provide assistance
  • Once our team coordinator receives a request from someone, a text message will be sent to the volunteers in closest proximity. If the volunteers closest are unavailable, then the team coordinator will continue to reach out to other volunteers until someone is able to provide assistance
  • Volunteers may be asked to pick-up groceries, supplies, medication, etc.
  • Volunteers will continue to use CDC’s recommendations of washing hands and practicing social distancing, while picking up items.
