OBJECT LESSON

“Flashlight in the Dark

Object:

  • Flashlight

Lesson:

  1. Bring a flashlight and turn off the lights.
  2. Ask: “Can you see anything?”
  3. Say: “Before we know Jesus, it’s like we’re in the dark. But when we follow Him, He makes us light! Just like this flashlight, we can shine for God wherever we go—at school, at home, even at Costco!”

  • If you could sing one song all day long, what would it be?

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  • What are some ways we can worship God besides singing?
  • How can we be a light to others at school or at home?

ACTION STEP

  • List attributes of God that you are thankful for and praise Him for who He is.
