  • How does the gospel reshape the way we view success and failure at work?
  • Read Ephesians 6:5 What can “fear and trembling” look like in a modern workplace or home setting?
  • What makes it difficult to work “wholeheartedly” in your current season?
  • Read Ephesians 6:10-17 How might “putting on the armor of God” help us resist discouragement, pride, or burnout in our work?
  • What’s one way we can show Christlike respect toward a boss, coworker, client, or family member?

OBJECT LESSON

“Invisible Boss

Object: None

Lesson:

  1. Play a quick game where kids pretend to do chores or tasks while you “check” their work.
  2. Then repeat, but this time tell them their real Boss (God) is watching—even when you’re not.
  3. Discuss how we can always do our best because we’re working for God’s glory.

  • What are some ways we can “work for God” at home or school this week?
  • How does remembering that God is our Boss change how we work or help others?

  • Serve a neighbor, (i.e. cleaning their yard, rolling their garbage bin in, or walking their dog, etc.)
