FAMILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

MAIN POINT

  • God freely gives us His love and blessings.

MEMORY VERSE

  • Ephesians 1:3: Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ.

OBJECT LESSON

The Free Candy Lesson”

Object: A small bag of candy (or any small treat)

Lesson:

  1. Hold up the candy and ask: “Who wants this candy?” Let the kids respond.
  2. Give it to a child without them having to do anything to earn it.
  3. Say: “See how good it feels to get something just because someone wants to give it to you? That’s like God’s grace! God gives us His love, forgiveness, and blessings because he loves us.”

Key Point: God’s blessings are a free gift we receive and enjoy, like getting candy without doing anything to earn it.
