Whether you’re single, dating, or married, Proverbs has a lot to say about our different relationships. God wants to give us grace-fueled contentment, which acts as a glue in all our relationships.

  • Genesis 3 says the first temptation the serpent brought to Adam and Eve was the temptation of discontentment, and this broke all of Adam and Eve’s relationships apart. What are some ways you’re tempted to be discontented right now?
  • Read Proverbs 19:14. How would seeing a spouse as a gift from God lead toward greater contentment?
  • Read Proverbs 31:10. What are some practical ways we can value our spouses as “more precious than jewels”?
  • Read Proverbs 31:30. Why do we normally focus on “charm and beauty in people? Why would someone’s love for the Lord be more attractive?
  • Read Proverbs 21:21. How would faithful love toward our spouse or significant other bring “life, righteousness and honor”?
