Friday: Missional Living

Meditate on Acts 13: 47-49

For this is what the Lord has commanded us:”I have made you a light for the Gentiles to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” When the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and honored the word of the Lord, and all who had been appointed to eternal life believed. The word of the Lord spread through the whole region.

As we focus on being missional in our daily living and praying for those that God has already appointed to eternal life, we want to see God glorified in more and more people.  We can rejoice in knowing that God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.  Throughout today, let’s pray for the word of the Lord to spread in our islands and around the world.

Let’s pray for the churches and pastors that we support in Japan and Vietnam as they seize the opportunities that Christmas presents.  Let’s pray for our Harbor churches in the North Shore, West Oahu, Waipahu and Nuuanu as they build relationships in their communities and break down barriers so that the Gospel can be proclaimed.  Let’s pray for our mission fields like our workplace, kids’ sports teams and extracurricular activities, and extended families.  We want to see God draw more and more people into a relationship with Jesus, for God’s glory and for our good!
