Meditate on 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
In this month of Thanksgiving, are you able to count it all joy as you see God working in your life through good times and difficult times. After Paul left the believers in Thessalonica, they continued to face great opposition. How can you find joy in the midst of tough times? In 1 Thessalonians 1, Paul thanks God for the faith, hope, and love that God has worked into their hearts. Paul rejoiced that God had chosen them and that the Holy Spirit works deep conviction in them. Paul also mentioned that despite severe suffering, the believers welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.
No matter what you are going through today, or this week, take time today to rejoice in the Lord and His salvation, pray throughout the day as you bring God into every situation you encounter, and to give thanks to God for everything you face. Rejoice in the truth that no matter what you are going through today, that you have a Savior who will never leave you, nor forsake you. Let’s draw near to God, as He draws near to us.
