Every Christmas, most of us give and receive a bunch of stuff we really don’t need. So every year we challenge the people in our church to give and receive less so we can bless someone else.
This year, we want to bless Harbor West Oahu and Harbor North Shore. Both congregations have made big strides during the pandemic to reach more people.
Harbor West lost their meeting space like every other church meeting in a school, but they were able to secure a 4-year lease on a space in Kapolei Marketplace for an incredible price. They’ve doubled in attendance since moving in, but they still need to construct keiki classrooms and more. They need help to do that.
Harbor North also lost their meeting space during the pandemic, so they moved to a farm in Waialua. They’re meeting under pop-up tents on a muddy field, with no bathrooms or space for kids. Many new people have been coming on Sundays and all through the week to help them clean up the farm and launch a community garden. They want to get a big event tent, and eventually build a permanent open-air pavilion. They need help to do that.
So start praying with your family about how you might give and receive less this Christmas so we can help Harbor North and Harbor West keep reaching more people. If you’d like to give right now, go here, select Honolulu campus, then select Christmas Conspiracy fund. Mahalo!
