Psalm 94 – God Is A Better Judge

READ PSALM 94

He will pay them back for their sins and destroy them for their evil. The Lord our God will destroy them. (Psalms 94:23)

We see many people trying to play judge and jury today. There are riots in the streets, people are demanding justice be shown, but in the midst of seeking justice there have been more injustices done. There has to be a better way. And there is. The reason that human beings tend to fight injustice with injustice is because we are finite creatures. We don’t see as God sees. How many times were you angry at someone for something you think someone did only to find out that they did nothing wrong at all? Human beings are not good judges. We can’t even judge our own selves. That’s why the apostle Paul says, “It is of little importance to me that I should be judged by… any human court. In fact, I don’t even judge myself.” He says that he cannot even judge himself. So who can judge?

Ultimately, judgement belongs to God. I’m talking about divine judgment. It belongs to God. This is why God says that he is the one who will pay people back for their sins, that God will destroy evil. It is God’s place to judge. God will judge you and everyone else. He will judge righteously and justly. There will be no mistake when God judges. This means that we do not need to worry about paying people back for their evil toward us, because God will do it in the end. Let God be the judge. He’s better at it than you anyway.
