Psalm 70 – God’s Timing

by | May 23, 2020

“God, hurry to rescue me. Lord, hurry to help me!” (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭70:1‬)

Although we recognize that God is sovereign, we don’t like his timetable. Even though we know he works everything for our good and His glory we fail to trust Him. Like the psalmist we’ve been in situations where we want God to hurry where we want God to not delay. But here’s the truth you need to recognize on this side of the cross.

Christ died for your sins in accordance with the Scriptures. He was buried. He was raised. Then he ascended into heaven. God has already saved you from your sins. He has not delayed in sending his son and delivering you. So the next time you feel like God is waiting a little too long to do something you need remember that he has already solved your greatest need. And then rejoice in that.
