Psalm 66 – An Unchanging Love

Blessed be God! He has not turned away my prayer or turned his faithful love from me. (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭66:20‬)

If God treated us the way we treat other people who fail us what would that look like? Would he not want to communicate with you? Would he ignore your calls? Would he slander you? Well the good news is that God is not like us. He doesn’t turn away from us when we cry out to him. He doesn’t turn his faithful love from you. Because his love for you is based upon his character and not yours.

We are flawed but God is not. He is a God who deals kindly with people who don’t deserve it. So that next time you’re tempted to turn away someone who has failed you remember how God relates you when you fail. And when you stumble know that you can always go to God in prayer that trusting that his love is unchanging.
