Psalm 14 – God Restores
Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad. (Psalm 14:7)
This cry for salvation came after David acknowledged that people deny God, and as a result we see in the world, corruption and abuse. Not much has changed since David’s day. Even today it will not take long to see that the world is filled with sin.
The good news is that what David longed for we experience, because Salvation has come. Jesus came into the world, took on human flesh, lived a perfect life, went to the cross, died for our sins, and was raised from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. Because of Jesus we can rejoice, because no matter how bad the world is, we can be assured that God has restored our fortunes.
