Psalm 8 – God Has Power
Lord, our Lord, how magnificent is your name throughout the earth! (Psalms 8:9)
There is power in the Lord’s name. With all the anxieties and uncertainty in the next hour, next day, and next week around our island, country, and world, it is so easy to fill up our time in isolation with refreshing our news alert every minute. As the world and our leaders keep placing focus on us, and what we need to do to control our situation.
We can fall in the trap of forgetting who is in charge right now and in the future and who has been in charge since the beginning of creation. Throughout this day, remember there is power in the name of our Lord. As you face uncertainty in the days to come, call out to the Name above all names. Turn to Him and His promises especially in these turbulent times. The Lord is magnificent and the One who created the heavens and the earth, desires for each of us to trust in Him.
