When Pope Benedict XVI visits Austria this weekend, he will be protected and looked after by 1,350 soldiers and 50 aircraft and helicopters of the country’s armed forces, the Austrian defense ministry says.
The head of the Catholic church will be flown from Vienna to Mariazell on an air force Sikorsky Blackhawk chopper which will feature a specially-prepared and decorated seat for the distinguished passenger.
