Everyday Evangelism

by Dec 18, 2006

This past Sunday night, we looked at Jesus’ unique habit of forming unlikely relationships with “random” people, and we observed how he used everyday objects and activities to pique their curiosity and introduce them to eternal truths.

Francis Chan communicates the gospel in much the same way. Recently he put together a super-high-quality evangelistic video and website called “Just Stop and Think.” Watch the 15-minute video and learn how to use your own personal stories and common interests to point your friends toward Jesus.

I have to confess: after watching the video, I felt a little guilty. Francis walks fifteen minutes to surf in ankle-high waves. I walked fifteen seconds today to surf in overhead waves. I guess King David was right: “Surely there is a reward for the righteous” (Psalm 58).
