I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me…I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me. (Jesus, Matthew 25)

We’re setting aside a week to focus on the opportunities we have all around us to show compassion to the “least of these.” Start praying now about how God might want you to respond to the needs of people you meet at work, in your neighborhood, or in front of the grocery store. In addition to the individual “divine appointments” God brings to you, there will be a few opportunities to serve alongside others:
- Trip to A’ala Park to visit the homeless (Sunday, Nov. 5. Meet at the skatepark at 10:00am. Park in the public parking structure on Beretania St. across from the Chinese Cultural Center)
- Trip to Lunalilo Home to visit the elderly (Tuesday, Nov. 7. Meet at the entrance at 5:45pm. If possible, bring gifts such as travel-size toiletries, fresh fruit, sugar-free cookies/candies, non-skid socks, kleenex)
- Mens Outreach to Molokai (Nov. 10-12)
