Sermon passage: Colossians 1:19-23
Tony Kawaguchi
Guilt is one of the worst things a person can live with. There are ways to numb it, aviod it, ignore it, but for a child of God there’s a better way.
Some of us struggle to forgive ourselves for things we have done, and others of us hold on to bitterness against those who have wronged us. Either can keep us trapped under guilt.
But consider this: to hold on to guilt or bitterness is like saying to Jesus that what He did wasn’t enough. “Thanks for paying for that Jesus, but I would like to pay too.” Ouch.
If you need to forgive yourself or someone else, consider this: Was the blood of Jesus enough for that sin too?
